Our commitment
NestIt NYC wants everyone to be able to use nestitnyc.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time project.
Our standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as the standard for this website.
Conformance status
nestitnyc.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard. The parts we know about are listed under Known limitations.
What we have done
- Every page declares its language, so screen readers use the right pronunciation.
- Every image has a text description, or is marked as decorative so screen readers skip it.
- Every page has a "Skip to main content" link, the first thing you reach with the Tab key.
- Every page marks its main content area, so assistive technology can jump straight to it.
- The moving background on the home page is hidden from screen readers and does not play if your device is set to reduce motion.
Known limitations

How we check
We assess this site by self-evaluation. In September 2026 we ran an automated check of every page for image descriptions, page language, main-content landmarks and skip links, and reviewed page layouts at desktop and phone screen sizes. We re-run the automated check before we publish changes.

If any page, form or document on this site is hard to use, you do not have to use it to work with us. Call or email us, tell us what you were trying to do, and we will help you get the same information or service another way, for example over the phone or by email in plain text.
